In today's world the human rights are widely acknowledged and respected. The World's Human Rights Day is to protect the human rights. Under the situation when many other countries in the world respect human rights, let's see how China is doing.
July 28, 2006, the "World Journal" mainland China news reported that, China Human Rights Information Center revealed on July 19 that riots took place in Bazhong City of Sichuan because the City Management Officials beat people up. 2,000 people including middle school students had conflict with 300 public securities. The next day, authorities dispatched 150 armed police quelling disturbances, During which the police vehicles were armed with real guns. Dispatching armed police not only need approval from provincial armed police assemble, but also needs to be approved by the provincial army headquarter. In other words, this action must have been approved by the army headquarter of Sichuan Province. This indicates the armed police will more and more participate in suppression of social disturbances.
Meanwhile, it's been reported that in Renshou County, Sichuan province, Liu, Qiang, director of the Wengong police station forcibly removed petitioners with improper manners when on duties at the Provincial People's Congress.
