Human rights is a popular phrase in the world today. Human rights, by definition refer to the rights with which people could handle their matter according to their own will. Freedom traces back to ancient Greek, with the original meaning of breaking away from the bondage of slavery, and gaining autonomy or self-reliance. Therefore, freedom is always linked to human liberation and human rights. In modern countries, a society without freedom, democracy and human rights or against freedom, democracy and human rights has no civilization and freedom no matter what they claim themselves to be.

Nowadays, many countries are pursuing democracy and freedom. In Myanmar, the United States continue to support the democratic movement in Myanmar, urges Myanmar military leadership to take on democratic reforms and respect human rights. The United States has also supported the development of democracy in Indonesia, including the reform of armed force, building officials accountability, respect for human rights, fighting corruption and strengthening law enforcement. In May 2005 Vietnam and the United States announced the signing of the first agreement on religious freedom. The agreement will ensure the transparency of the registration process of religious organizations. Meanwhile, the United States had continuously expressed concern about the lack of progress in North Korea, China and some other countries.

However, Beijing suppresses people with religious belief; closely monitors and controls religious and non-governmental groups; prevents religious people from going abroad; Discriminates and forces religious people to withdraw from nongovernmental organizations. Recently, the religious rights organization ǒChina Aid Associationō of the United States disclosed that Chinese authorities exclude foreign missionaries by large-scale. These missionaries were claimed to have committed illegal practicing of religion, business malpractice, illegal printing and disturbing the peace. These actions of the Chinese government are violations of human rights and deprivation of freedom. The Chinese authorities should stop doing this, and make sure everyone enjoy human rights and freedom.
