中国民主党主张政府通过宪法或相关法律条文保障新闻出版界采访、报道、出版、发行等的自由权利。包括保障新闻界采集和发布信息，并提供给公众的充分自由。

China Democracy Party advocates the adoption of constitution or relevant legal provisions to protect the media and publishersó rights of interview, report, publication, etc. Also, protect the mediaós freedom of acquisition, publish, and release information to the public.

新闻自由的具体内涵包括新闻媒体应有取得政府所控制的资讯或是进入政府所掌控管理的设施，以获取其所需资讯的权利； 新闻记者为获取资讯或为报导某事件，有时可不受某些法律规范之权；新闻媒体享有报导损害他人名誉资讯的特别权利；新闻媒体对于政府的禁止报导命令或其他事前限制措施时，比一般大众受较多保护；新闻记者有不受法庭侦讯或不需回答法庭某些提问的权利；民事诉讼程序中，新闻媒体可拒绝回答任何关于编辑人员、制作人或出版程序中工作人员心神状态的质询；在非为刑事犯罪嫌疑犯状况下，新闻媒体有不受政府搜索及扣押之权；政府为达成一般经济或社会政策，或为促进讯息传播多元及公平性，进而对一般媒体或专业媒体所进行的规制，新闻媒体有免受此类规制的权利。

The freedom of press shall specifically include the rights to access government-owned facilities and government-controlled resources in order to acquire information; Reporters or journalists shall be exempted certain legal provisions when in certain attempt to acquire information for truthful report; Press and media shall have certain freedom to report news that hurts personal honorary; Media shall be considerably protected from the government's prohibition orders or other restrictive measures; Journalists shall be exempted certain court investigations or the obligation to answer certain court questions; In civil proceedings, media shall enjoy the rights to refuse to answer any questions on the physiological situation of editors, producers and publication staff; In non-criminal scenarios, Government shall not have the rights to search or seize media staff; The government set regulations for general and professional media conduct in order to achieve fairness and diversity of information propagation and achieve social and economical policies. Any media that report news shall be exempted these regulations.
